CHRISTOPHER "PHYSICS" LEWRY 

VFX, DYNAMICS, COMPOSITION  

Houdini is my passion, the research project on Particle Systems displayed in the Gallery shows how much I enjoy learning and exploring the workings of this fantastic tool. This passion only grew when I was employed by Iloura as an FX Intern, working directly in Houdini. 

I've been interested in the applications and science side of physics for as long as I can remember. After I completed high school I began a degree in Mechatronic (or robotic) Engineering. Here I expanded my knowlege of the sciences and picked up a few programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python and Assembly. Engineering was not quite what I thought it was however, so I started looking for other options. I found the Academy of Interactive Entertainment and have been working through their Advanced Diploma since 2014. The Academy has provided me a structure to work within industry standard practices for both the Games and Film industry and have taught me how to excell.

After working on Deepwater Horizon for Iloura (2016), my goal now is to grow my skills in the 3D environment, expand my connections within the industry and continue my work within the industry, be it with Houdini or otherwise.
